Traditional Indian Recipe
Turmeric Milk or Golden Milk is simply milk infused with turmeric and has been used to aid many ailments, including colds, coughs, inflammation, aches, pains, and restlessness.
Cook Time 5 minutes
Ingredients
4 Tassen Milch (Vollmilch oder fettarm, je nach Wunsch)
1 EL Kurkumapulver
2-3 EL Honig, verwenden Süßstoff der Wahl – Zucker, Agavensirup, Jaggerypulver
2 ganze Kardamomkapseln (optional)
Instructions
Bring milk to a rolling boil.
Stir in turmeric powder. Add cardamom if you like. Cover and let it steep for 5 minutes.
Pour into serving mugs or glass. Stir in honey or sweetener of your choice.

Recipe Notes:
If available, you can use fresh turmeric root which is more beneficial in turmeric milk. Simply replace turmeric powder in the recipe with freshly grated turmeric root. Lastly, steep and strain before serving hot.

If you are lactose intolerant or vegan, please feel free to substitute cow’s milk with almond milk, oat milk or cashew milk according to your preference. Not a big fan of sugar? No problem!
