Turmeric Latte – vegan

This earthy and warm drink is perfect for anyone who wants to replace their daily coffee with a tasty, caffeine-free alternative. The recipe is equivalent to a large cup of chai.

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml plant-based milk e.g. almond milk
  • 30 ml almond milk (for the foam)
  • 1-2 teaspoons turmeric chai mix
if you use the essence, take 60 ml Turmeric Chai Essence
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of date syrup (sweeten to taste, the essence already contains mascobado whole cane sugar)

Preparation:

  1. Bring the 250 ml almond milk to the boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add the chai mixture or essence and stir. Then pour the essence directly into a cup. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes on a low heat. Then pour through a sieve into a cup.
  3. Optional: Add date syrup and stir in the cup.
  4. Froth the 30 ml of almond milk using a handheld device or a milk frother. Pour the almond milk foam on top of the chai, stir once and add a pinch of cinnamon.
