Bubble Chai

Bubble Chai

The popular bubble tea with our traditional chai. This recipe was developed together with Shiruna .

⁠Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes⁠⁠

Boba:⁠

  • 60g tapioca pearls (black and sweetened)⁠
  • Water⁠⁠

Tea:⁠

  • 5 tsp Traditional Chai Blend
  • 400g oat milk (chilled)⁠
  • 100g water (chilled)⁠
  • 6 tbsp date syrup⁠
  • 1 cup ice cubes⁠

⁠Preparation Part 1:

  1. Fill a pot with at least 300 ml of water and bring it to the boil.⁠
  2. Add the boba pearls and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until completely done.⁠
  3. Drain and rinse with cold water.⁠
  4. Let the boba pearls rest in cold water to prevent them from sticking.⁠

Preparation part 2:⁠

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan and add the chai mixture. Let the mixture simmer on a low heat for about 5 minutes and then strain the chai. Let it cool at room temperature for a few minutes.⁠
  2. Mix the milk with the chai.⁠
  3. Put the ice cubes and date syrup in two glasses. Divide the boba pearls evenly between the glasses.⁠
  4. Pour in the chai, add a thick straw and enjoy.
