Basic Recipe – warm
Our blends can be prepared with milk and/or water. For those who prefer to prepare their chai as a tea, i.e. without milk, the Traditional Chai, Cocoa Chai and the caffeine-free Rooibos Chai are best.
The essences should be prepared with a combination of milk and water (ratio according to preference). When we talk about milk, we mean cow's milk as well as all possible plant-based variants.
Ingredients:
- 250 ml plant-based milk or cow’s milk
- 1-2 teaspoons chai mix
- if you use the essence, take 60ml Chai Essence
- 1 teaspoon of date syrup (sweeten to taste, the essence already contains mascobado whole cane sugar)
Preparation:
- Bring the milk to the boil in a saucepan.
- Add the chai mixture or essence and stir. Then pour the essence directly into a cup. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes on a low heat. Then pour through a sieve into a cup.
- Sweeten to taste.
