Back in Zurich, Alexandra's hometown, they were disappointed by Western interpretations – tea bags steeped in milk, sprinkled with a bit of spice, but lacking depth and soul. This gave rise to the idea behind Premsoul: to bring the robust, spicy character of masala chai to the fast-paced café environment. The first phase involved developing fresh masala chai blends. However, they quickly realized that cafés often lacked the time or space to prepare chai traditionally. So, Brendon and Alexandra developed a chai essence to meet this need.
